ALIGNED WITH SUSTAINABLE TRANSFORMATION

ACCIONA seeks to enhance the transformative effect of its projects, maximizing the impact they generate, in terms of on the local area, return on investment and acceleration of sustainable development. To this end, it seeks to develop analysis and diagnostic tools that can identify regenerative and sustainable development opportunities, and designs solutions that improve the living conditions of the population and/or the environment surrounding the company’s area of activity.

The company aims to demonstrate the sustainable difference of every activity it undertakes. The company's different divisions work together to design and deliver solutions and infrastructure to its customers that maximize and significantly enhance the achievement of the SDGs

LOCAL ECOSYSTEMS

Our goal is to develop an ecosystem of organizations capable of increasing the potential for regenerative transformation. Discussions will be held with third parties to establish work programs, initiatives and collaborative projects to increase the company's capacity to develop regenerative solutions, with the aim of accelerating the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Social actions in Hospital Marga Marga (Chile)

  1. Construction of the nursery school building using 100% female labor, through training in the trades of masonry, carpentry and plastering.
  2. Mujer Construye 2021 Award
  3. Technical support in the design of projects of interest to the community and the search for external funding.
  4. Training of 80 leaders of social organizations in project formulation techniques.
  5. Training 40 families in the rural sector of Colliguay in the installation and maintenance of solar panels, facilitating access to electricity for the local population.

acciona.org is the company's corporate foundation which, under the slogan The Energy & Water Foundation, aims to cooperate in the development sector by promoting access to energy, water and infrastructure for people and communities with no expectation that these needs will be met. Through this activity, we also contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 2021 was a year of great challenges for acciona.org, the foundation for energy and water, in which we embarked upon new initiatives and started working in new geographical areas.

SUSTAINABLE FINANCING

Maximizing the capacity of sustainable finance reinforces the value of the company and the competitive advantage of the regenerative power of its projects. CLIMATE

ACCIONA promotes the adoption of ambitious global objectives regarding the decarbonization of the economy to integrate the management of climate change risks and opportunities into its model. This is reported in accordance with the European Commission's climate reporting guidance and the recommendations of the Financial Stability Board, through its Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
